Historical Windows and Doors
Graceland Cemetery Chapel | HISTORICAL PRESERVATION
Chicago’s architectural landmark. Graceland’s historic chapel was designed in 1888 by Holabird and Roche in the popular Arts & Craft style of the period. In 2006 the trustees of Graceland Cemetery selected Chicago architectural firm of Dupree Bickford Associates,. Grabill was awarded the project because of our quality craftsmanship and dedication to the project’s historic details. Project included quarter sawn white oak awning and casement windows with wood muntin bars and leaded glass panels using Bendheim heavy restoration glass. Raised panel entry and interior pocket doors with custom hardware. For the antique clearstory windows Grabill removed and rebuilt the leaded glass panels and fabricated new frames to match existing.
